Ilir’s story is one of persistence, adaptability, and unyielding passion. Leaving Albania behind, Ilir moved to Greece, where he faced the challenges of adapting to a new country. He wore many hats—working as a farmer, a tomb-builder, and even a part of the ever-changing crews aboard oil tankers that sailed across the globe. Amid the uncertainties, Ilir discovered his talent for performing, even if his stage was yet to come.

Everything changed for Ilir when he arrived in New York. Here, he found a place he could truly call home—a place where he could finally nurture the creative dreams that had been lying dormant. It was in New York that Ilir’s passion for acting found its stage. A simple conversation with a colleague turned into his first acting gig, playing a Mafia Guard in Martin Scorsese’s The Irishman (2019).
